I am proud to announce that the 2014-2019 St. George Library Strategic Plan is now complete, and will be posted to the Library website soon. We have lots planned, and hope to be of service to our parishioners and the Orthodox community. Please feel free to leave us suggestions of books and services you feel would help us better serve you. We're here for you.
Also, please keep an eye out in the near future for an Amazon Wishlist. Eleana Silk, SVOTS Librarian, suggested it as a wonderful way for people to donate books directly to the Library that we have been wanting. The idea is that with a donation, donors will get a free memorial plate in the front cover of the donated book. More information to follow in the future. I just wanted to send out a big belated Thank You! to Librarian Eleana Silk and Archivist Matthew Garklavs of St. Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary. I was blessed to visit them in mid-November at SVOTS. I had a wonderful and informative time at the Library, and received lots of good advice. Matthew and Eleana were so welcoming and helpful, giving me some of their time to give me a tour of the library, advice, and criticisms of my work. It was really a blessing. Also thanks to my Godbrother, Subdeacon Ignatius, and his wife Aimilia. Ignatius and I went to college together at St. John's College in Annapolis, Maryland. We had a great time catching up. An additional thank you to SVOTS in general for a lovely early Thanksgiving feast.
