I just wanted to send out a big belated Thank You! to Librarian Eleana Silk and Archivist Matthew Garklavs of St. Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary. I was blessed to visit them in mid-November at SVOTS. I had a wonderful and informative time at the Library, and received lots of good advice. Matthew and Eleana were so welcoming and helpful, giving me some of their time to give me a tour of the library, advice, and criticisms of my work. It was really a blessing. Also thanks to my Godbrother, Subdeacon Ignatius, and his wife Aimilia. Ignatius and I went to college together at St. John's College in Annapolis, Maryland. We had a great time catching up. An additional thank you to SVOTS in general for a lovely early Thanksgiving feast.
Subdeacon Michael Janakis received his MLIS (Master of Library and Information Science) from the University of Pittsburgh in 2013. He is also a 2012 graduate of St. John's College in Annapolis, MD, where he studied the Great Books of Western civilization.
